East Avenue Properety Damage! Watch Out!

The Toronto Police 43 Division would like to ask for the assistance of residents of the Rouge. There will be a new development starting construction on East Ave north of Lawrence in the near future. This property was originally owned by the Board of Education and was put up for sale. This property could have been bought by anyone but it was purchased by a development company who have decided to build homes on the property. Many residents are not happy about this and some have been responsible for causing damage to signage and fences. The company has complied with all the requirements requested by the city and then some.

43 Division will be paying special attention to this site as a result of the irresponsible actions of a few. It is a certainty that someone is going to be arrested and charged if this damage continues and all occurrences will be vigorously investigated and prosecuted. The officers at 43 division ask that you report any suspicious activity with respect to this property, to the police by dialling 911 when you see it.

Thanks for your assistance

PC Bill Campbell, Crime Prevention Unit. 416 808-4302
