Annual General Meeting
Monday, October 20, 2025 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
West Rouge Community Centre
The Board of Directors invites you to our Annual General Meeting at the West Rouge Community Centre.
The meeting will include elections to the Board of Directors and the WRCA financial report for the year ending September 30.
Our guest speaker is Adam De Caire, Senior Director of Public Affairs at Sienna Living. Sienna Living is the owner and operator of the Glen Rouge long-term care home (formerly known as Altamont Care Community) on Island Road.
Sienna Living has submitted an application to the Ministry of Long-Term Care for a complete redevelopment of the Glen Rouge site. It is now going through regulatory and planning approvals. Sienna will provide a backgrounder about their plans for the site and the current state of their application.
This meeting is open to all residents of the West Rouge community. Pre-registration is not required.
Pumpkin Parade
Friday, November 1, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Port Union Community Centre
The West Rouge Community Association and West Rouge Sports & Recreation Association along with other community associations in southeast Scarborough are hosting a Pumpkin Parade at the Port Union Community Centre.
Bring your pumpkins from Halloween night out for one last show as they're lined up on the trails surrounding the community centre. Bring your carved pumpkins for drop-off at 5:00 p.m. and bring a candle.
Costumes are welcome.
This is a rain or shine event.
